The spine may show signs of wear. Franck admits that the Zen experience cannot be explained in words, then he spends several pages trying to give an idea of it. You are literally 'on hold'. The drawings are very nuanced and I think he uses them to great effect to literally illustrate the concepts he writes about. It is not impossible to make art a part of your life. If it is a miss, don't grieve over it but take a new sheet of paper. May contain limited notes, underlining or highlighting that does affect the text.

Bypass the ego and the mind and just allow the flow from eyes to hand to paper. The author uses many examples to illustrate his points he is trying to get across. Attention is so focused when drawing that it becomes as meditative as yoga, which I think of as meditation in motion. Seems pretentious in many places, sneering at commercial or interpretive art. They would send books and toys for my children.
